Make a plan with your coach about which tasks you will undertake to master the following skills:
  • deciding on the most suitable methods to improve or update one's own digital competency needs;
  • assessing the development of others' digital competence;
  • choosing the most appropriate opportunities for self-development and staying up-to-date with new developments.

Examples to develop these skills:
Step 1: Identify your own digital competency needs. Make a list of the digital tools and technologies you currently use and determine where you need improvement. For example, is there a certain software that you are not familiar with but that could be important for your work or studies? Or are there new developments in your field that you should follow?
Step 2: Assess the digital competence of others. Think about the people in your work environment or study group. Are there colleagues or friends who are less skilled in certain digital tools or technologies? Perhaps you can help them by explaining how certain programs work, or by organizing a training or workshop.
Step 3: Look for opportunities for self-development. Check out the opportunities to improve your digital competency. This could include taking online courses, reading books, attending conferences, or taking workshops. Determine which options best suit your needs and make a plan to allocate time for them.
Step 4: Stay up-to-date with new developments. Make sure you stay informed about new developments in your field and the digital world in general. For example, follow relevant blogs, newsletters or social media accounts. This way, you will stay informed about new tools and technologies that can help you solve problems and work more efficiently.
